Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer--they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one terrible and wonderful summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.

Review:

(First and foremost, I'm still reading this book and I really don't know if I'll continue it since part of me didn't usually get the idea of this lead character named Belly... and I just borrowed this book from a friend. *Hi Abby!* Also, I dunno if I can finish this book because *HELLO MIDTERMS AGAIN* but of course I'll try my best to update my blog)

I understand why this story come up to become more lightly to read since the lead character, Belly, is still young. Well as what I observed in the first part of the story, I noticed that she’s still in the process of enjoying her teenage life much more if its summer. She was getting along with her friends Jeremiah and Conrad (they’re bros for real), **********incomplete (cos it's getting late and im so sleepy huhu)

Now, with the group narrowed down to the Elite, the competition to win Prince Maxon's heart is fiercer than ever--and America is still struggling to decide where her own heart truly lies. Is it with Maxon, who could make her life a fairy tale? Or with her first love, Aspen, who she always thought was the one?

America is desperate for more time. But the rest of the Elite know exactly what they want--and America's chance to choose is about to slip away.

Review:

I just really can’t explain how I truly love these series! I already read these series last year and I’m planning to re-read again since we all know that it has different impact on us for the second time around.
The reason why I adore America Singer is because she’s really willing to fight for her love ones. Especially her family plus… Maxon! Going back to the first book of this series, they were 35 girls who came to the palace; but now only 6 remain. And America Singer is the only “five” among the rest.

Honestly, I also like the hand written letters sent by their families from their hometowns to the palace. It’s just very sweet; especially her father’s letters to keep her perfectly delighted knowing that this is a big competition for her. The souls of each word written in those letters keep America elated.

However, in some parts of the stories I certainly go annoyed by the rebels attack to the palace. But since its part of the story (or maybe just an addition twist) the transition of the story comes with full of revelation in each setting of the story. In addition the love triangle thingy for Aspen, Maxon and America really pisses me off but nah let's just forget those sequence.

“You’re going to need to learn to hold your tongue. If not, you and I will be enemies. Trust me when I say that you do not want to be my enemy.” (The King said to America at the last part of the story)
You’ll see that the king thinks that America was a big threat on how she speaks during the report. At first they all thought that America will now leave, but this is just the beginning…

You can check the video below, to get the gist of the story. (Though I’m not into K-POP artists, I find this video interesting and really relevant to this book).

Review:

I bought this book last year, since the cover of the book really mesmerized my eyes. I randomly pull it from the bookshelf because my father was in a hurry to pay in the cashier during that time. And yes, when I look directly to the cover it was not a fiction novel book. A Year in High Heels is about your guide for the whole year regarding the different content of the book.

Of course I still don’t finish this book yet, because I only started reading this last week; and this book has dates and months to guide or advice you up. And it was really fun to read this; the way Camilla Morton writes this amusing guide that also includes her chosen quotes for the readers and information about different events, history and such.

But on the other hand, I know part of me would not literally “fall in love” with this book, since I’m not really into fashion. And as I skim the pages of this book, most of the content was really about “the girly stuff”. Plus, the author also put different recipes that you can try on; those “How To *insert word here*” chapters; some stories related to each chapter; and the life of being a woman.

However, I know that this book will have an impact or the readers can definitely realize the things and instruction of Camilla Morton. That will give your determination to do something greater for the whole year!
